"Beastie Boys" J.Rhodes Ft. Knesecary

Everybody knows J.Rhodes and it is necessary that you know Knesecary! Again I have the privilege of knowing these two emcees. For those who don’t know who they are, you are now being told!

80’s Baby’s Entertainment Music Group CEO J. Rhodes is heavily known for his beat production. However, I feel lyrically he can hold his own with any emcee to ever hold a microphone. Having a few videos debut on MTV’s RapFix with Sway, J. Rhodes is now a household name amongst Dallas, TX emcees. In which who’ve looked to him for heat for their projects. J. Rhodes work ethics little did he know were being monitored by super producer S1. Donning his emcee/ producer hat J. Rhodes has returned to hit you with both lyrics and beats as he begins to craft another album that shouldn’t be taken lightly. “Oak Cliff Huxtable”. To pull this off he is dropping the single “Beastie Boys” in which enlists Knesecary one of the illest Emcees to emerge on the Dallas music scene.

Knesecary aka Knes has been a problem ever since I heard Jelly 2010.A dope producer in his own right. If I had to sum Knes up, I’d have to say as a producer he is Dr. David Banner or Dr. David Banger or Dr. MadeThis Banger as he might say. As an emcee, who else other than the Hulk! Opening up for artist such as 50 Cent, Knes is not thinking locally. In the pursuit of becoming “Righteous” Knes and his OTH team will be going from being the openers to being the closers. In my opinion he’s already there. Y’all just don’t know it! Listen to and download  “Beastie Boys” and see for yourself.

Fly Young Man

I’m not a dancer or a toe tapper. I am a head bobber. When I got the news that Dawg Wonder would be releasing a mixtape I began nodding my head without hearing it. Hell it hadn’t been released yet. I must confess though, I did have the privilege of hearing a few tracks via email. So the project itself, I knew would be Fly!! Dawg Wonder is another Dallas, Texas artist by way of Monroe, La., who is destined to be heard on a global level. “Fly Young Man” is mixed and hosted by Danjah One; though it released as a mixtape it is store shelf ready. There is no slacking on lyrics on this album, “Bark On Em” is a track that’s a warning shot to anyone who thinks they can see him with the lyrics: “ So I heard y’all wanted Carlos it’s the boy though/ Crown Royal eat rappers like pollo / feet firm in the soil / get the spoils”. Dawg Wonder also unleash his DDC family Truk Turna, and Classik on several tracks. I wont say which ones to avoid skipping around the album, which I seriously doubt you’ll do. This album features other dope artist: Original Soul, Tele Oso, Lawn Throw Jankinz, J. Rhodes, The Rapture, P Dot, and Spark Dawg. If you are looking for Dance music this is not the download for you, but if you are looking for Fly Music, then “Fly Young Man” is for you. Enjoy! http://www.sharebeast.com/tiw7px425jpf

What are we teaching our kids about the justice system when one of their classmates is no longer with them, because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Places such as a basketball court, a mall, a school, or just walking home. The old saying by parents use to be “Don’t let the dark beat you home!” Now its “ I hope you make it!”

This is ridiculous! It shouldn’t take a protest to find justice. Then again the figure wearing the blindfold holding the scales says everything needed to be known about justice. So does the phrase “Just us”, when referring to the treatment of African Americans in today’s society. Correction! It the treatment of African Americans handed down from birth.

This is in no way a rant it is just an opinion. We have come so far as people, but we have so far to go that it seems that we are merely stretching at the starting line and we will never see the finish. This is proven fact through the media. Someone deemed it clever to make bumper stickers that said “Don’t Re-Nig” in reference to re-electing the first African American president.

Everyone has their own opinion and entitled to them. Mostly discussed amongst inner circles that share the same opinion. What isn’t realized is the person that agrees with you. After hearing their beliefs come out of another person’s mouthThat they see how ignorant it sounds and secretly blows the whistle.

In the Trayvon Martin situation, they took the word of the shooter who claimed self defense after being told to let the young man go on his way. He being the shooter knew he was wrong, but knowing his right to stand his ground acted anyway. He was standing his ground. He was on a power trip in my opinion, because he saw smaller African American male. The fact that he was carrying a firearm made him feel even more powerful. Now a 911 call surfaces of a young woman in which you can clearly hear Trayvon Martin screaming for help. Yet the shooter claims self-defense. One shot fired, then silence. On lookers coming forward at the time of the shooting, but get ignored by the police department. Guess they were wearing the blindfold of lady justice.

In order for the justice system to work, maybe those chosen to protect and serve should envision their own children or any of their family members or friends in the same situation. Falling on deaf ears should just be a metaphor and not reality when it comes to right and wrong or life or death. The same thought process should also be instilled in those who commit these crimes. The world would be a better place if we all just listened to reason and took our place at the starting line and did our part to win this race. Get it? Race, it's the human race. This is a relay race we are running. Who’s ready to pass the baton?
